It is with deep thankfulness that I can say God has done exceedingly abundantly above all that I asked or imagined. Thank you all so much for praying for us!

Alaina arrived after a mere six hours of easy and peaceful labor. She had no complications, pain medications weren't even tempting, and the roads were clear. :-) It's a good thing too, since she came much faster than I had imagined she would!

Kyle was a wonderful coach, taking care of me, talking me through, and especially encouraging me to push at the end, which was probably the hardest part. Well, either that or figuring out that I was actually in labor!

Alaina was 7lbs, 13oz and 20 inches long. She looks a lot like me as a baby, with my thick black hair and pink/red skin, but she has Kyle's toes and long eyelashes.

I'm being well cared for, progressing steadily, and loving every minute! Yes, even the night ones. ;-) What an amazing treasure she is!

Wow! What an easy labor and delivery, compared to most! What a blessing!

the pictures are darling, Gretchen! It has been so exciting to hear the news from Elli on Friday and talking with her on Monday as well and then seeing more pictures today from Becca. I am so glad they got to make it down yesterday to see you!

She is so precious!! You do need a picture of the three of you together! *smile*

I am glad the labor was so "easy and smooth" for you! What a blessing!

Can't wait to see more pictures! Take it easy! Blessings to you all!

I keep reminding myself to rejoice with you that your labor was not difficult and not just wish that I could have a labor that's described as "easy" ;)
