Baby Names?

A couple of you have asked us about baby names. Fortunately, it's going to be easier for us than it was for my folks. ;-) Yes, we have been talking about it and we have some options. Here's what we're thinking:

For a Girl:
Phillipa
Phyllis

For a Boy:
Phillip
Filmore/Philmore

We think it's wise to have a boy's name picked out, just in case of human error. ;-P
So, what do you all think? Feel free to leave your votes in the comment section.

He, he, he, he! Yes, we were JOKING! I just had to put those names up, because they're all so terrible combined with our last name. ;-)

We've actually decided not to tell the name until the baby comes. We do have a boy's name, and I think we're fairly settled on a girls name, although it has changed once already so we'll see.

Sorry, but I just couldn't resist the opportunity for a little joke! You're still welcome to vote on the four names, perhaps for which would be worst! - GJ

I think as far as what would be the worst would be Phillipa for a girl, and Fillmore for a boy. ;)

My mother has always teased me that they should have named me Phlista (an old family name). Philista Phillipa Phillips? Just wanted to make sure you were aware of other options!

You are quite wise to NOT share the names....who wants commentary on a name you both like? Plus, I love surprises! =)

Ha! And to think when I first saw that I thought you were serious. Thought the "Phillip" was a meaningful name to the family. . .

I think that you may have missed the best boy's name---Phineas. Phineas Phillips. It's an unusual name AND old fashioned! What could be better. Yes Phineas gets my vote.

I just sent you an e-mail about a dream I had about you all last night. As I said there, I'm really hoping you don't name her what you did in the dream! =)

I made the mistake of telling a friend in Bible study what names we were considering for Leah when i was pregnant with her. I actually have a silver spoon with that name on it because my friend went ahead and used a name we were considering. I can't even remember what it was now.

For all 5 kids we had names picked out and changed them once we saw them and got them home. (for the adopted ones) The names we had picked didn't fit them and i think God had other names in mind. They just weren't who we thought they were going to be, i guess. :-)

I am always amazed at people who can name their children without meeting them first. I know it happens all the time, just not in our house.

Okay, in case you guys are curious about Faith's name that she dreamed, I decided it would go well with one that Haley dreamed about not long ago. According to the various dreams, the girl's name would be:

Ima Ines Elicabetha Hope-Rosin Phillips

Poor child. ;-) - GJ
