Baby Update

Well, we're now at twenty-one weeks, about half way along. To "show" or not to "show" seems to be the question. I feel like I'm showing, but for other folks it seems to depend on what I'm wearing. I also have a new trick - spilling on myself! I was making zucchini brownies the other night, and looked down to see my baby bump liberally sprinkled with flour! Since then, I've become a very conscientious apron wearer. ;-)

A little girl! How exciting, you are looking too cute with your baby bump. I remember being pg with Caleb and thinking I had the biggest bump in the world. Then people would say "oh, you aren't even showing yet"...it crushed me :-) I just wanted the world to know I was pg and I felt like it showed.

I have some maternity clothes for you, they are too small for me and should fit you this fall/winter. So, whenever I am near you parents house, I will drop them off.

Congrats Mommy!!!

Love, Lesli

Oh, I'm so glad you posted the ultrasound pic! I couldn't stop smiling as I read this post! It will be fun to meet this little girlie when she arrives!

Ooo, thanks Lesli, that would be great! Winter is when I should be the biggest. I can't comment on xanga, but I'm on your site pretty regularly. I hope you continue to feel well, and I can't wait to see your new little one! I'm hoping to see another redhead . . . ;-)

Hurray for a baby girl! With 4 boys born this month along, I'm glad to see there are SOME girls to help even the odds. *wink*

A girlie!!!! =) Ultrasounds are simply amazing. I am so blessed to be able to witness many of them at Crisis Pregnancy Center, when we offer them to abortion vulnerable women... it is amazing to see God work through the video of the precious little life in the womb. Hearing the heartbeat, etc.

How exciting. He is so good and such an amazing creator! Yay for firstborn girls. *grin*

Yeah! Our girlies can stick tight. :) I've been meaning to call you and congratulate you. Justin talked to Kyle the other day and heard the big news. So exciting! And btw, girl clothes are much more fun than boy's. Carter's is having a big sale this weekend...they usually have great deals...I think I may venture out on Friday. Am I crazy, or what?! We'll see if I'm up to taking 3 out! We're so excited for you two!!

Okay, I know I am a little biased, but isn't that the CUTEST SONOGRAM PICTURE EVER!?!?! Of course, I had to share it with you guys. I have it up on my fridge, so I can see our little one, and it makes me smile every time I do! - The Excited Mommy

Kyle and Gretchen: Ryan and I are so excited that you are expecting your first little girl. They are so precious. We also were able to see one little girlie sucking her thumb on the ultrasound. She was born and within an hour had it back in her mouth. Too cute!!! Have fun buying pink!!!!!

Oh, all the pink will be so much fun for you and the Grandmothers! Could you please pass along a few of those female hormones to my daughters? ;-)

Congratulations to you both, little girls are just so sweet and cuddly...although I've learned the boys are too, it's just that little girls are so girly!

BTW, Colleen and Heather sucked their thumbs for longer than I cared for...and Lesli is the one who needed braces! Go figure! XO

Gretchen, i think you ARE showing. i made a comment to Leah when we saw your Springfield pics that you had blossomed.

I remember being so excited to show when i was expecting Leah. I thoroughly enjoyed being pregnant with her. :-)

You are definitely showing and most surely glowing!!! So exciting. Congratulations on baby girl.

And have fun shopping, but I wouldn't pull off any tags or throw out receipts until you get further confirmation. I have 3 friends that had a last minute (at birth) "change". Talk about surprising...but I always thought it would just be that much more thrilling!

Enjoy this special time and thanks for the updates. She is gorgeous!

Love, Lisa

Btw, I am just thrilled with my house full of boys. I always wanted boys. But, seeing my sister with her daughters reminds me of the special mother-daughter-sister relationship that she and my mom and I have. Something I just won't have, except Lord willing, with future daughters-in-law.

So, all that to say, congratulations again on your daughter!

A girl? Huzzah!

Blue is an excellent choice for any child. (My wife spent seven years in Ireland, so as far as she's concerned blue is a girl's colour anyway.)

Hi everybody! It's so much fun to share the excitment with you all. We've heard a number of at-birth gender surprise stories too, so we'll be prepared either way, just in case! I'm actually thinking green for the baby room. We'll probably have a couple of kids in there eventually, and green can go either way, with touches of other colors.

Thanks for your comments and congratulations! - GJ
